You can't even imagine how I felt after watching "How to Train Your Dragon 2"

I just had to geek out over HTTYD2: a long acronym that stands for "Head To the Theatre YESTERDAY, Dude (2)" if you haven't seen it already, because this is the best movie ever.

I would rate my level of excitement to see this film at a 9/10 considering How to Train your Dragon was (and still is) one of my favorite animated films.  I was at a wedding last weekend, and I found myself with four hours between the ceremony and the reception.  I snuck out, hitched a ride to the mall, and got into my seat in my fancy satin gown.

BIG mistake.

I knew the movie would be amazing.  What I didn't expect was an emotional roller coaster that took me hurtling in all directions.  I was laughing and crying at the same time somehow, as though I had reached a new level of human emotional awareness.  By the end of the film, half of my make-up had melted off my face.  But it was so worth it.

Reality is always so much less fun than the high-flying, gut-wrenching, villian-fighting fantasy of the movies.  Reemerging in St. Louis, Missouri was a real punch in the face after spending two incredible hours in Berk.  When I got back to the reception, all I could think about is how I wished everyone there was a dragon instead.  I half-heartedly raised my glass to toast, and when it was over, I rushed home to pour myself into reviews, recaps, animated gifs, and anything else I could find to make the honeymoon phase last just a little longer.

Did I mention that this is the best movie ever? XD

I don’t know about calling it the best movie ever. I mean, I’ve already seen it twice (and am planning on going again next week), have listened to the soundtrack non-stop for a week, bought the “Art of” book and read the whole thing twice, and bought another four Night-Fury t-shirts because of it. (Thanks again for that BTW. :P)

So yeah, I don’t know about calling it the best movie ever. I just don’t think that covers how amazing it is enough.
