TeeTurtle specializes in widely recognizable pop-culture tees and related novelty items.  We sell primarily through our e-commerce site, however we also attend over 110 comic, anime and pop-culture events worldwide.  One of our greatest strengths is our relationship with our “friendbase”, which we cultivate daily through social media.  TeeTurtle strives to do business with suppliers; including but not limited to; manufacturer’s, consultants, contractors (herein referred to as Suppliers) that are committed to conducting business in a legal, ethical and socially responsible manner.

The TeeTurtle Supply Chain Ethical Code applies specifically to our Suppliers worldwide and seeks to encourage comparable standards of behavior, thereby driving commitment to ethical improvements through our supply chain. Suppliers are expected to be committed to exceptional ethical conduct at all times when interacting with employees, suppliers, customers, third parties and living creatures in general.

Suppliers must operate in full compliance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations and remain vigilant in their pursuit to seek ethical treatment in all situations and avoid Conflicts of Interest.  All applicable anti-corruption laws and regulations must be complied to without exception.

Confidential Information Management

“Confidential Information” means any information related to the fact or substance of negotiations, discussions, art and design information, financial and the terms of any agreement between TeeTurtle and the Supplier, and also including, without limitation, all, or any part of, and originals or copies of, any information, in whatever form. Preferred suppliers will be required to complete a TeeTurtle Non-Disclosure Agreement.

Financial Responsibility

Suppliers must use sound business practices and comply with all applicable standards for the communities, locations and markets in which they conduct business. Suppliers are required to accurately record and disclose information regarding their business activities, structure, financial situation, and performance in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and industry best practices.

Inclusive Supply Chain and Discrimination

TeeTurtle encourages Suppliers to provide certifications regarding minority, woman-owned, veteran-owned, LGBT status that they have incurred.

Suppliers must provide equal opportunities (EEO) to all employees without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.

Human Rights / Labor and Employment Laws

Suppliers must be committed to and have respect for the protection and preservation of human rights. While it is the responsibility of each Supplier to define its own policy and approach to the issue of human rights, Suppliers’ values and business principles must be consistent with that of TeeTurtle’s and the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Suppliers are expected to comply with applicable international and local legal requirements in their countries of operation.

Forced Labor

Suppliers will not use forced labor, whether in the form of prison labor, indentured labor, bonded labor, or otherwise. Suppliers will not use child labor. Suppliers are required to comply with applicable child labor laws and employ only workers who meet the applicable minimum legal age requirement in their countries of operation.

Compensation and Working Hours & Conditions

Suppliers are required to comply with all applicable wage and hour labor laws and regulations governing employee compensation and working hours in their countries of operation. Suppliers must have a disaster recovery plan for emergencies. Suppliers must ensure that their facilities meet appropriate safety standards.


Suppliers must comply with all applicable environmental laws and regulations.


TeeTurtle encourages suppliers to actively seek the following Certifications and provide documentation upon achievement:  

FLA-  Fair Labor Association accreditation

ILS – International Labor Standards (The Walt Disney Company)

QCA – Quality Certification Alliance

WRAP Audit Certification

*All products require CPSIA Testing: In November of 2008 a new Federal Law was passed. The CPSIA (Consumer Products Safety Information Act) is a broad sweeping mandate.  All imported items that can be used by children 14 years and under are affected.


TeeTurtle (via an assigned 3rd party) reserves the right to audit suppliers, without notice for compliance to any and/or all of the above requirements.  Additionally, TeeTurtle must receive certification renewals upon expiration in order for the Supplier to maintain current status.  At TeeTurtle’s discretion a supplier may be terminated for non-compliance.
